Acting Classes

The Hayworth Performance Lab
A course dedicated to live performance.  The actors will pick a play, scene or monologue, rehearse for eight weeks, create sets and lighting design in the 9th week, and perform in front of a live audience and industry in the 10th week.  Each evening will be shot on video to be shown on the American Theater Channel.  Taught by award winning producer and director Gary Blumsack, who recently executive produced a comedy show with Showtime.

"Gary Blumsack created an environment so supportive that I felt free to try anything I wanted; I could follow my impulses right up to closing night. The process for me was organic, and Gary stepped in only to suggest solutions when something didn't work. I had a ball!" Frances Fisher

Gary Blumsack has incredible insight into the actor's world. His many years of experience in the theater give him a profound knowledge and understanding of the material and many different approaches to attacking the work and nurturing the creative process. Above all, as my director, he was a joy to work with and to learn from.”  Paul Ben Victor
